Getting started
Agogica Composer places every instrument of your piece in a virtual space, right inside your DAW. You hear the ensemble as it would sound standing there: direction, distance and the room.
What you need
- A Mac with Apple silicon, macOS 13 or later.
- A DAW that loads VST3 or Audio Unit plugins - Dorico, Sibelius, MuseScore Studio, Cubase, Ableton Live, Studio One, Reaper, Bitwig Studio, Logic Pro and others.
- An Agogica account with access to Agogica Composer (beta testers are added by hand).
Install
- Download Agogica Hub and open it.
- Click Sign in - your browser opens; sign in and choose Allow.
- Click Install next to Agogica Composer. First steps opens these docs.
The Hub installs the VST3 and Audio Unit plugins and the Agogica Tracker app, and keeps them up to date. Restart your DAW if it was open, so it finds the new plugin.
First steps
- Insert Composer as an effect on every instrument track - one instance per player.
- Open any instance: its window shows the whole ensemble, with this track's player highlighted.
- Drag the players where they should stand, then play.
