Sound

Output: Stereo or Binaural

  • Stereo pans each player between the speakers - for speakers and mixing.
  • Binaural renders direction for headphones (measured head-related responses), including front and back.

The output mode is the same for the whole project.

Hall

The acoustics of the space: Dry, Studio, Chamber, Concert hall or Church. Each adds early reflections from the walls, floor and ceiling and a reverberant tail with the hall's reverberation time. Switching to Dry lets the tail die away instead of cutting it.

Distance

Farther players are quieter (-2 dB per doubling of distance) and duller (air absorbs high frequencies). Changes glide smoothly, and moving a player never bends the pitch.

Pro

Project-wide adjustments to the hall, shared by every track: Reflections, Diffusion, Floor reflection, Brightness, Reverb, Decay, Pre-delay, Distance law and Air absorption. At their defaults the halls sound exactly as described above.
